Scary moment

Ever since I was admitted to the hospital, I've been having blood work every other day and Heloisa has 3 stress tests a day, always after my meals, and an ultrasound every other day.

Today, I had lunch as usual, and I waited for the nurse to come to get the test done. Snack time came and she wasn't available yet. They had some kind of emergency on my floor.

She came to my room almost one hour after I finished my snack. She easily found Heloisa's heartbeat, and she left. Her heart beat was constant. She came back after 10 minutes and she said Heloisa was too quiet. She left and when she came back she brought something similar with a horn. She honk the horn and she barely move. The nurse started to look really worried. In the end, she told she would call my doctor and tell her impressions about the test.
About an hour later, I went to get an ultrasound. By this time, Hubby was back in the hospital and he went with me. The doctor found her heart beat easily; she could see Heloisa was breathing. But she wasn't moving. The doctor couldn't figure out is she was sleeping or she was suffering. The ultrasound doctor called my doctor again and they decided I should go back to my room, eat something really sweet and try the stress test again. So, I did it.

After a 30 minutes stress test, they finally said she was actually sleeping and with the sugar she had woke up.

By the time, we did the test after dinner, everything was normal again.

It was the longest and scary afternoon I've ever had during the time I was in the hospital.
After that experience, I've been eating a smallish piece of chocolate right before my ultra-sounds just in case.
