Happy Halloween

In Brazil we do not have Halloween. When I was growing up and going to English Classes, we always had the Halloween Party and a Halloween week, when we studied the Halloween history, costumes and especially about the Americ@n way to celebrate it.

Nowadays, with all the cultural globalization, Halloween parties are becoming really common down here, especially at schools.

When I was in US, I was really excited to actually “live” the experience. So, I decorate, I handed out a lot of candies for the kiddos who knock on my door. It was perfect.

As for now, I only wish my American Friends

Happy Halloween

Pork Loin with small potatoes and onions

This is just a little inspiration for some weekend cooking.

  • 1 pork loin piece;
  • ½ pound of small potatoes;
  • ½ pound of small (red and white) onions

Season the loin with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, garlic, salt, pepper and lots of rosemary.

Season the potatoes and onions with the same things that the loin was seasoned.

Brown the loin

Roast it for about one hour and a half and enjoy it.

Happy Saturday,
