I am sick....

... again.

On Friday, (on my day off), I started to feel a little weird. But I was so excited to go the wedding that I didn't allow myself to feel down;
By 2:00 am at the wedding part, out of nowhere, my throat just closed...
I told Paulo, "We need to go back to the hotel. I am not feeling well." He took my word and we went to the hotel, since I am not the type of person who quits a party when the music just started.

We got home close to noon and I basically slept all day.
And today,I woke up feeling even worse.... So, I gave in and went to the hospital.

Diagnosis: a severe case of strep throat.

Then I came home with a full box of antibiotics.

I will be back soon, with the wedding pictures!!

Happy Sunday

Wedding number 2

Finally Friday has arrived and I do have a DAY OFF!!!
YUPPI!!!!!!!!!!

But, today is our second wedding.

We will live after lunch to Indaia**tuba to go to the wedding.

I do think it will be a really interesting wedding, because the groom is French and the bride is Brazilian.

The wedding will take place on a Swiss colony. It is called Helvetia.

I hope I can take a few pictures to show you!!!

Happy Weekend,

Old Friends 2 of 2

Even though last week was hectic, I had the opportunity to meet my friends for dinner.
We used to work together on the only American Automaker which didn't file for chapter 11.
As life always change, I moved to São Pau**lo, Marta moved back to SP (even though she still works there) and Luciana is the only one still living in Ba**hia and she is now the proud owner of a B&B at Praia do For**te.
Luciana came to SP to visit her family before the summer season gets busy at the B&B.
Her mom kindly asked us to dinner. Here are a few pics of us.

Old Friends - 1 of 2

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to go to see one of my oldest friends.
We used to go to college together. Well, we actually met on our last year of college.
She was my senior, but she decided to drop off school on her last year and she went to England to study English. She went to London and she met her husband.
So, a year later, she came back to Bra**zil, she finished school (it was when we met) and after graduation, she went back to England to get married.
We always kept in touch, I always went to visit her when she was back at our hometown.
And after 11 years of marriage, they had their first son last October.
They came down to Bra**zil to spend a few months. Actually her husband stayed for a month and she stayed for two months.
I didn't have the opportunity to go to my hometown to see her. But.... she is spending her last week in Bra**zil with her sister in a city close to S**ao Paulo.
Yesterday we drove up there to see her. Here a few pictures of our reunion.
