... passed away last night.
I am sad for his absence and he will be terrible missed. I can still hear when he called me and his warm laugh.
On the other side, I am relieved. His last few days were really painfull for him and for those who watched him.
Grandpa, I love you. I am glad you are with Grandma again and you are resting. Rest in peace. I already miss you.....

I’m back....
We left for my hometown on Feb 14th and came yesterday. We went to the beach house and had a week full of warm weather (almost way too much for my taste) and sun. I even have a little tan, which is really rare due to my light skin color.
We could relax and enjoy a bit, even with all the turmoil that has been going on around here.
As for the updates, a lot has changed since my last post; unfortunately things are a lot worse than before.
As for my grandpa, he is in the ICU for 2 weeks now and the doctors already told my parents that they cannot predict how long this situation will go on, maybe days, weeks or months. But my grandpa is not likely to come back from the coma….
And for my FIL , the diagnosis is a lot similar with the diagnosis above.
So, we left and we came back and we are in the same limbo…
Thanks for all the prayers and support!!!

Updates
Well, we made through our first vacation week (barely). It was as far as possible from what we had planned.
And now for the updates:
My FIL is in the ICU. He has a heart condition and he need to do an angioplasty. It was scheduled to be done last Thursday. But…. (there is always a but) he felt of the bed of the hospital, because he decided to go to the restroom without calling the nurse, he developed an unexplained allergy and he throat almost closed and to top it all, he got pneumonia. So, as the doctor said they are taking one step at a time, first they got the allergy out of the way, now they are treating the pneumonia and then they will go back to the heart problem. So we have a really long way ahead of us.
As for my grandpa, he was hospitalized on Monday and he will be released today. But my mom made peace with her feelings and she is putting him on a nursing home. He was really comprehensive and said that was the best solution. The main obstacle was/is my uncle who won´t accept the decision.
And as for P@ulo, he is in the middle of a sciatic nerve crisis. Yesterday night, I had to drive him to the ER, so he could get some shots to relieve his pain. So since Thursday, I am the official driver of his family (I might ask for a pair of white gloves, a suit and a cap).
As for me, I am hanging in here…
Thanks for all the support and prayers. We really appreciate it.
Love,
Fabiola

My heart is heavy!!!
My heart is heavy as I see P@ulo struggles trying to keep together, while his father is in the hospital. He is always the I*CEBERG when bad things happens, he is the one with cool head to handle everything and everyone.
We don´t have any news for now. Maybe tomorrow…. But for now, we are still on hold.

Fabiola

On Hold
I am feeling really, but I mean really frustrated with a few things going on down here.
Our summer vacation is starting on Tuesday that is set on stone…. But our trip is on hold.
My FIL is in the hospital since last Tuesday with heart problems… We will have the final opinion of the doctors on Tuesday, so only after that we can decide what to do….
As for now, we are on hold.
Have a nice week,
Fabiola
