Paulo's Birthday.

Yesterday was Paulo's birthday. It passed without so much commemorations in my blog. But he had all he wanted for his birthday.

As January 25th is a city holiday and for the first time in 15 years he is living and working in São Paulo (Capital). He could enjoy his birthday the way he likes. We slept in until almost 10am. I made a wonderful breakfast for us and he decided that he needed a nap... So he slept for more 2 hours. By 3:30 pm we were ready for lunch. We went to his favorite steak house and we ate way too much.... we drove around a little while. All his family called and a few friends... But he is not a big celebration kind of guy, so this was his perfect birthday. Tomorrow we will be going to his Godmother's house for a big family lunch and to celebrate.. But the most important thing he had the birthday that he loves!!

Classy or Tacky???

Due to our current living situation I have to head to the Laundromat every Saturday. So I already know the names of the attending and they all my name as well.

According to my will, I do my own laundry or sometimes I just leave my laundry to get done by them.

This past Saturday, I decided to do it by myself.... As I was finishing my laundry and getting ready for the dryer... I got a glimpse of a couple that were arriving with some laundry to get done.... And... guess what kind of laundry bag did they hold???? A L*O*U*I*S V*I*T*T*O*N Steamer Bag 45....

So I asked myself, were they classy or tacky???

I am back

I know, I know....I've been completely MIA since Christmas, my only excuse is that I am working really HARD.

About Christmas, we had a blessed one with my family. We drove to Curitiba, despite of the really bad roads on Sunday and we arrived for lunch. It was such a great gift to find everyone happy and in good health. I had dinner with one of my best friends. I've been friends with her since 1991. In 1992, she met her husband and we became great friends. When I got married, my husband really fit it in with this group and I don't miss a single opportunity to go to my hometown and visit them. She is expecting their second baby. It will be a boy, named Rafael who will join this big brother Leonardo.

On Dec 24th, we spent the day with my family and we helped my mom to get the house ready for the Christmas Eve big dinner. My husband and I went to the Christmas Mass with my parents and came to their home for the family feast. (I will post pictures soon). The happiness was flowing around , good food, good company and great gifts. Of course, my grandma was missed especially by my grandpa and me, but this is what life is all about.

On Dec 25th, we had a meeting with my friend who is a interior designer about the new house. We had a family lunch and came back to São Paulo.

It was a short trip but it sure was a wonderful trip.
